Recently, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration and the State Standardization Administration approved the release of 14 mandatory national standards, including the General requirements for hand disinfectants. The newly released standards are formulated by the National Health and Health Commission and the State Drug Administration, mainly involving disinfectants, disinfection equipment, medical equipment and other key areas urgently needed for epidemic prevention and control.
In the field of disinfectants, releaseGeneral Requirements for Hand Disinfectants General Requirements for Air Disinfectants General Requirements for Disinfectants in Epidemic Foci6 product standards andList of Disinfectant Raw Materials and Prohibited and Restricted Substances1 basic standard. The disinfectant series product standard is a revised standard, which improves the basic indicators such as raw material requirements, technical requirements, inspection methods, use methods, labels and instructions of disinfectants, and greatly improves product quality, performance and safety. The List of Raw Materials and Prohibited and Restricted Substances for Disinfectants was formulated for the first time, stipulating a list of 85 raw material active substances, 115 raw material inert ingredients and other raw materials that can be used in disinfectants, as well as a list of prohibited and restricted substances, so as to control the content of toxic and harmful substances in disinfectants from the source. The series of disinfectant standards will play an important role in strengthening the disinfection of hospital environment, disinfection of public places and personal protection control.
In the field of disinfection equipment, four standards have been issued, including "Hygienic Requirements for Sodium Hypochlorite Generator", "Hygienic Requirements for Ultraviolet Sterilizers", "Hygienic Requirements for Ozone Sterilizers" and "Hygienic Requirements for Hydrogen Peroxide Gas Plasma Low Temperature Sterilizers. The newly revised series of standards have refined the sterilization process, expanded the application field of product sterilization, and adjusted and optimized the relevant technical indicators adapted to the changes in sterilization methods. Disinfection equipment is an important material to kill pathogens and block the transmission of infectious diseases. This series of standards play an important role in promoting technological innovation of disinfection equipment, expanding the application of environmental protection and green disinfection technology, standardizing the behavior of production enterprises, guiding scientific and rational use, and protecting the environment and people's health.
In terms of medical equipment, three standards have been issued, including "Medical Electrical Equipment Part 1: General Requirements for Basic Safety and Basic Performance", "Medical Electrical Equipment Part 2-12: Special Requirements for Basic Safety and Basic Performance of Intensive Care Ventilators" and "Medical Electrical Equipment Part 2-37: Special Requirements for Basic Safety and Basic Performance of Ultrasonic Diagnostic and Monitoring Equipment. These three standards combine the actual development of medical equipment in my country, benchmark international advanced standards, modify or equate the latest international standards of IEC 60601, and increase technical requirements related to risk analysis, mechanical safety, and physical safety, which are not only conducive to improving my country's medical equipment The quality and safety level is more conducive to enhancing the international competitiveness of medical equipment such as ventilators.
The newly issued 14 mandatory national standards will play an important role in greatly improving the safety and quality of China's disinfection supplies and medical equipment, improving the international competitiveness of epidemic prevention products, helping to win the war "epidemic" in an all-round way, and effectively protecting the lives and health of the people. In the future, the National Standards Committee will continue to do a good job in the formulation and revision of mandatory national standards with relevant departments, continue to optimize the new mandatory national standard system, strengthen the publicity and implementation of standards, and implement supervision, so as to satisfy the people's peace of mind in eating, using, and living. A comfortable and environmentally pleasant life needs to be escorted.
