Due to the complexity and precision of dental instruments and serious pollution, the following points should be paid attention to when cleaning:
Manual cleaning and mechanical cleaning (including ultrasonic cleaning) can be used. Non-power oral instruments can choose mechanical cleaning method. With power oral instruments, precision complex oral instruments, electric tooth cleaner handle should choose manual cleaning. Ultrasonic cleaning is preferred for small dental instruments and other instruments with complex structures.
2. The detachable instruments should be cleaned separately after being disassembled, such as electric tooth cleaner.
3. When cleaning manually, the instruments, utensils and articles should be washed under flowing water to initially remove pollutants; after washing, scrub and scrub after soaking in multi-enzyme cleaning liquid or other cleaning agents; finally, clean with flowing water. The water temperature should be 15~30 ℃. The brushing operation should be carried out under the water surface to prevent aerosol generation. The lumen instruments shall be flushed with a pressure water gun, and the detachable parts shall be disassembled and cleaned.
4. Ultrasonic cleaning should follow the manufacturer's instructions or instruction manual. First, rinse the instrument under flowing water to initially remove pollutants, then inject cleaning water into the cleaner and add multi-enzyme cleaning liquid. The water temperature should be <45 ℃, and the basket containing the instrument should be immersed under the water surface. The cover of the ultrasonic cleaner should be covered when cleaning to prevent aerosol generation; according to the different materials of the instrument to choose the matching ultrasonic frequency and time; dental small instruments should be equipped with a special basket when using ultrasonic cleaning.
The mechanical cleaning method should follow the manufacturer's instructions or instruction manual. Removable instruments shall be disassembled and cleaned, and the shaft section of the instrument shall be fully opened.
