The WS507-2016 "Technical Specification for Cleaning and Disinfection of Soft Endoscopes" requires that the cleaning tanks and full-automatic cleaning and disinfection machines of soft endoscopes of different systems (such as respiratory tract and digestive tract) should be set up separately. Endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of different systems should be carried out in separate rooms. However, it is not emphasized that endoscopes in different parts (upper and lower digestive tract) must be cleaned separately, and diagnosis and treatment in different parts (upper and lower digestive tract) must be carried out in the same room.
Therefore, gastroscopy and colonoscopy testing do not need to be divided into cleaning tanks and diagnosis and treatment rooms, but should be divided into time periods.
